Trauma program seeking volunteers
An agency that helps Clark County residents and visitors in times of crisis has just more than half the volunteers it needs.

The Trauma Intervention Program, which provides emotional support in moments of crisis resulting from death, injury, robbery or other forms of trauma, is looking for volunteers. Since its inception in 1994, the program has assisted 32,000 Clark County residents and more than 22,000 visitors, Clark County Fire Department spokesman Steve La- Sky said.

The program has 42 active members, but needs at least 70. The group will begin training classes on Nov. 2 at the Henderson Fire Training Center. Volunteers must have 55 hours of training during the two-week course.

Those interested in joining the program can call its office at ***-****.
