Trainees sought for volunteer group   A volunteer support group that has been a resource for emergency service providers in Las Vegas since 1994 is looking for trainees. The Trauma Intervention Program, or TIP, is a group of trained volunteers who provide emotional and practical support to victims of traumatic events and their families, said Marian Thomas, the group's crisis team manager. Training for the group will run from June 14 through June 24 at the Henderson Fire Training Center, 401 Parson Ave. Both adult and teenage volunteers are needed, and anyone can become a part of the program, Thomas said. There is a $20 cost for the class to cover materials.
