Our 2021 Heroes with Heart event! Is different this year but it is still exciting. We will not be holding the traditional gala, as we have in the past. In addition to the Silent Auction as seen above,  we will select 4-6 agencies throughout the year based on our “heroes with heart” volunteer nominations from 2020.  Instead of “just” honoring the person who received the nomination, we will be rewarding the entire agency that the nomination has come from. We will honor them for the department-wide effort, skill, struggle, and determination that was put forth by all, in 2020.  The 4-6 agency partners will either be police departments, hospitals, Clark County agencies, or fire departments who have been steadfastly providing safety, good health, and care to our community.  As they have helped so many, it’s our turn to help them.  The “winning” agencies will receive a fully sponsored 8-hour E-TIP course and will be able to provide up to 30 employees with training that will equip them with the tools they need to provide effective emotional first aid to their peers (peer to peer support) and to better assist citizens in crisis, and lead to a healthier career.   For more information on E-TIP click here.
