EMOTIONAL FIRST AID (E-TIP)
for EMERGENCY SERVICES

Emergency services personnel see the most challenging moments in a community. You are expected to remain steady regardless of what you encounter, and that level of exposure has a real impact.
This training offers practical skills to support colleagues on scene and communicate more effectively with citizens in crisis. It strengthens on-scene stability and helps sustain a long career in this field.

Who This Training Is For
This training is designed for individuals who serve within the emergency response system, including first responders, dispatch and communications staff, administrative personnel, support staff, and volunteers working in organized response programs. It is not intended for the general public or for those exploring volunteer opportunities with TIP.
The Instructors
E-TIP is taught by nationally certified TIP trainers who work in emergency services or within the Trauma Intervention Program. Each instructor has extensive field experience, having responded to a significant number of real-world crisis scenes. They are vetted to teach this course and have led multiple academies and E-TIP trainings throughout their careers.
Course Length
One day, six hours, with a working lunch.
Certification
All participants receive a Certificate of Completion.
CEUs
E-TIP is POST Accredited. CEUs are also available through SNHD.
